Jaipur, India — June 14, 2026 — The NineHertz set up a blood donation camp inside its own office this World Blood Donor Day, giving employees a straightforward way to give blood without having to leave work to do it. The drive followed the 2026 World Health Organization theme, “One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.”

People from nearly every department came down to donate throughout the day. Holding it on-site mattered more than it might sound: staff could give blood between calls and be back at their desks soon after, instead of losing half a day to travel and a wait at some collection centre. That hassle is usually what stops people who mean to donate from ever getting around to it.

The initiative reflected a simple idea that ran through the WHO’s messaging this year: a single unit of donated blood can be the difference between life and loss for patients facing surgery, trauma, childbirth complications, cancer treatment, or chronic conditions that require regular transfusions. Blood cannot be manufactured, and a steady supply depends entirely on people who choose to give.

“World Blood Donor Day is a reminder that some of the most meaningful contributions we can make have nothing to do with technology,” said Girish Khatri, Senior VP, The NineHertz. “We’re proud of how readily our team showed up for this. Seeing colleagues line up to donate, many of them first-time donors, says a lot about the kind of people we work with every day.”

The camp recorded participation from approximately 20+ donors, in association with Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital. Trained medical staff oversaw the screening and collection process to ensure donor safety throughout.

The blood donation camp adds to The NineHertz’s ongoing focus on CSR efforts along with employee-led social responsibility, with a commitmenttment to make such drives a recurring part of its calendar. For a team that spends its days building digital products, the day offered a different kind of impact, one measured not in lines of code but in lives potentially saved.
